HeyAlex is an SMS-based assistant that provides:

• Reminders you schedule by text, with alerts before they're due
• Ideas, notes and tasks saved to your account
• Calendar events, including sync to Google Calendar if you connect it
• Answers to questions you text in, plus quick factual lookups

Our service uses artificial intelligence to interpret your messages and generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, responses are for informational purposes only.

Subscription plan

• Monthly plan: $20 per month
• Message limit: 100 SMS messages per 30-day period
• Billing cycle: monthly, automatically renewed

Payment terms

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• No refunds for partial month usage
• Failed payments may result in service suspension
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time by texting STOP to our number, contacting support, or managing your subscription in the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Permitted uses

• Personal capture, reminders, notes and task tracking
• To-do lists built from your hashtags
• News updates and factual questions
• General knowledge and educational purposes

Prohibited uses

• Spam, harassment, or abusive messages
• Illegal activities or content
• Seeking medical, legal, or financial advice
• Commercial or promotional messaging
• Attempts to reverse engineer or exploit our service
• Sharing your account access with others
• Automated or bulk messaging

We aim for 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. SMS delivery depends on your mobile carrier, and response times may vary based on query complexity. Always verify important information through authoritative sources.

Your privacy matters. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. We store your phone number and basic profile information, the messages you send and our responses, and usage analytics needed to operate the service.

HeyAlex, our name and our service are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

You retain ownership of the messages you send, but grant us a license to process them in order to provide the service. We may use anonymized data to improve response quality.

HeyAlex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or data, damages resulting from reliance on our responses, or service interruptions.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HeyAlex from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or illegal or unauthorized use of the service.

You may cancel at any time as described above. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, use the service for prohibited purposes, or engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior.

Upon termination your access ceases, outstanding fees remain due, and we may delete your account data per our retention policy. Certain provisions of these Terms survive termination.

By subscribing, you consent to receive SMS messages from HeyAlex. Message frequency varies based on your usage, and standard message and data rates apply according to your carrier plan. Text STOP to opt out of all messages, START to resume, or HELP for help. Full details are on our SMS Opt-In & Consent page. We are not responsible for SMS delivery issues caused by your mobile carrier.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms, sending an SMS notification to active subscribers, or emailing you. Continued use of HeyAlex after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HeyAlex regarding the service.

We are not liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or third-party service failures.
